Outtake from the Black Tailed Deer Session
Prior to seeing a picture on my friend's social media page in which one of the baby deer at Lake Guntersville State Park had its head up to the car window and was allowing itself to be petted, I was much more impressed with my own experience. But impressions are fluid things, and at least I caught this one sticking its tongue out at me, even if she was ten yards away rather than at my fingertips.

Shrugging off Autumn's Shroud in Guntersville

Giving Way to Winter, Lake Guntersville, Guntersville, Alabama |
Autumn is faithfully giving way to Winter on the banks of Lake Guntersville on the Tennessee River, in Guntersville, Alabama.
On a recent work-related trip to Guntersville, I paused long enough to notice that the seasons are continuing to shift, and the trees are shrugging off their autumn shrouds.
